I will step away because you are "bad faith" reading my posts. Trump won't be as bad as many people fear. I stand by that. There's some over-reaction going on. And some of the worst things that will happen, would have happened anyway. (Climate change, Ukraine, Gaza). At this point we are best going back to doing our own things locally and making our small differences and our small acts of defiance. Daniel Hunter: "The key to taking effective action in a Trump world is to avoid perpetuating the autocrat’s goals of fear, isolation, exhaustion and disorientation." Rebecca Solnit: "Take care of yourself and remember that taking care of something else is part of taking care of yourself, because you are interwoven with the ten trillion things in this single garment of destiny that has been stained and torn, but is still being woven and mended and washed." |

What happened with climate change when Trump was in office last time wouldn't have happened without him. Also if Trump goes for full support of Israel it makes a difference. Same if he withdraws backing for Ukraine. Not sure it would have happened anyway cuts it.

Seems the one good thing is he can't leave quickly and given Biden rejoined, I'm pretty sure Harris won't have ended up in this destination. bbc.co.uk |

I think in reality lots of people hoped it wouldn't happen and are sad it did. I don't really think it's a centre or left thing, even some on the right didn't want him back as he was so extreme. The polls always said it was possible though. |

Nellers wrote: She should have, and she did. She said "It's not happening" (in terms of benefits and jobs to illegals) which was true but didn't win anyone over because people believed Fox et al. I think she came across weak on the point of migrants. Trump found her achilles heal and magnified it. I will be watching the freedom side for US citizens and how Musk will be pulling the strings in the background. Oh well someone has to pull the strings. |

Anyhow perhaps Vance will take over as Trump's senality continues or perhaps one of his daughter's will take over the empire

One of the ways he magnified it, @run free , was by getting the republicans in the senate to block the funding package Biden and Harris had proposed to shore up border security, then shouted about how they didn't put any funding for border security but he would if elected. And Trump is 78, overweight and with an extremely poor diet. He might not last 4 years but I don't think Vance is an improvement. |
