Cheeky’s Dad
Actually I was surprised to find, when working in the States that unionised labour was far more hardline than I was used to in the UK - demarcation of labour, minimum staffing levels, shifts having to be agreed by the union rep and a general understanding, on both sides, that if management “pushed their luck”, there would be instant trouble. I don’t think I was working in a particularly militant industry (entertainment) more that there were “union theatres” where things were as above and “non-union” ones where things were much more like we were used to at home. Another example of the US being two contradictory countries and what you see depends on which one you happen to be in at the time

x.com It's the same play as in the US. Find something which has a more innocuous explanation (deer hunting) and then pretend that you're being closely advised that this is down to sacrificial practices by immigrants. |
