Hmm semi-political from what I'm reading, it's alleged it was over changes to TV channels that are very controversial.

But - a while back I was poo-pooed very vociferously for saying fascists would be in charge of a major Western European country, well as of today it's definitely happening, a party dedicated to banning mosques and the Koran lead a four party coalition in the Netherlands and will govern. The only proviso is that Wilders himself will not be president. It's here. Sigh. All so fucking predictable. Next prediction, it will get worse before it gets better. And also Ukraine will be forced to come to terms with Russia. Dark times. Spare me the panglossian bullshit. |

I have similarly posted about EU states moving to the far right and how this is a problem Chris. Ireland has had a lot of far right noise too (anti immigration stuff for example newcomers to Ireland being told to “speak English” which is certainly ironic if you think about Irish history. |

I understand that, I also get that it's more eastern Europe rather than the actual Balkans, in case anyone wants to indulge in geographic pendency. My point is that as the guy is another pro Putin puppet this may be a catalyst that your Luckashenkos, Orbans, Georgian Dream types can seize on to become more authoritarian or justify further aggression outside of their boarders. You see the historical parallel. |
