"Johnson says 'nothing and no one' will stop him carrying on as PM and delivering for British people" Erm. That's a dictatorship, isn't it? Source: The Guardian but the quote is from him, I believe. |

The quote is his response to Angela Eagle @ PMQ's I think, personally he meant 'the' British people and failed to finish his sentence with the words 'as a commodity to be exploited by the all ready wealthy' |

How correct is power of 10 though. My own results disappeared from there for a while. Most, but not all, are back though my club has been dragged back wrongly and in fact returning to a point above about being registered with a UK club I wonder if I returned because of the same reason. Just a quick glance through other results I notice that an old friend is missing from some races we both did. And secondly a look at some recent races have a firm divide between profiles for UK based club runners and those not. |

Which would be fine thinking except that from the above it seems that she's been included in the figures before. So why not now? Would she have been eligible to compete for GB before? Yes, I agree. Not sure what's changed; unless its simply that Tim Grose who runs the site has overlooked the foreign athlete anomaly in the past. I don't think there is anything Brexity in it - the national allegiance of amateur and professional athletes with NGBs never had any EU overtones, did it? I couldn't have just chosen to be a Luxembourg vet runner with the hope of getting an international pick just because we were in the EU and so was Luxembourg under the various freedom of movement things. |

Unless it's a reason due to funding from the government - I think Po10 is funded by UKA through Sport England and if SE have changed their regs due to nonsensical govt regs (entirely possible given this lot), then it might have cascaded down. All speculation on my part. |

And secondly a look at some recent races have a firm divide between profiles for UK based club runners and those not. Probably for a different thread, but I think Po10 gets UKA registered athletes pushed into it's backend from UKA, but as most results websites etc don't necessarily quote UKA athlete number there's something of a manual or fuzzy logic matching that goes on to tie athlete's results to their UKA profile. So "Dave Smith" running for "H&F AC" on a results website won't match with "David Smith" who's registered for "Halton & Frodsham Athletics Club" etc etc In the main, all finishers are shown in the results, but if a result isn't matched to an individual's profile automatically then you can use their various links to get it corrected. I do this quite a bit for our club where juniors names are misspelled on team sheets etc or where abbreviations are used. |

It’s that fuzzy logic that I wonder is at play here rather than Brexit itself.

He's in the party that destroyed the mining industry. Dennis Skinner donated his entire parliamentary salary to the NUM during the miners' strike. Bolsover shat him out like nothing, so their 817 EU passport holders could go home! What you have to also remember is the 73% of miners in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire coalfield didn't support the NUM strike of 1984 and continued to work. Locally Skinner's actions didn't earn him much credit. All his constituents were interested in was filling their boots with overtime at Markham Vale. And look where that got them. By 1993 the pit had been closed by the Tories. The desire to be shafted by the Tories has seemingly been long been ingrained in the communities of Bolsover and S-in-A. |
