To be fair the parliamentary party isn’t stacked with talent. Who would be better?

I’m flattered by 3M’s comments a couple of pages ago - I reckon I’m at least 5 years older than you!

I *suppose* there are some unknown quantities out there but it's hard to think of a cabinet member who isn't either loopy, hated, cruel, incompetent or compromised - just like the PM really, who, ironically, ticks almost all those boxes. It's a national tragedy that can, looked at one way, all be traced back to Brexit yet again. Get Boris, get Brexit - and also get a PM and a government which is neither serious nor competent and which is filled with hollow and corrupted vessels who only want power and have no idea what to do with it. Until we get rid of the whole lot of them we won't become a serious country again, and you can take that one to the bank. |

jda, Ben Wallace would be better. Unlike practically all of the others, he has occasionally actually tried to do his job, rather than just coming out with culture war drivel all the time. I suspect this will be enough to disqualify him with the faithful.

twitter.com Great thread from a wine importer, who has commentated on the changes and hassles of trading post Brexit. He's now had 18 months to bed in his admin. Bottom line: a bottle of wine is now £1.50 more expensive, for no reason other than bureaucracy over trading borders. |

What does he know about it? He's only doing it for a living. If he was and MP in the "Cabinet of all the Talentless" he'd know better. He should get in touch with JRMogg. He'd soon put him right. Shouldn't be talking down the Brexit Benefits like this. Shame on him. |

Which of those boxes doesn’t he tick JB loopy, hated, cruel, incompetent or compromised Fair enough. I was being kind as far as "cruelty" is concerned, but I guess recklessness and negligence can amount to cruelty, so yeah, he ticks all the boxes. |

Starmer is talented enough in theory. Rotating leader but keeping the same standing for nothing strategy will continue to enthuse no one.

But then again I do not want an outright Labour majority, FPTP must die and only a coalition/confidence and supply with Lib Dems and Greens would offer this. Another one who absolutely wants this too. |
