If it's illegal to put a person forward for a Brexiting job because they were in favour of Brexit, someone needs to mention this to Government. For 3 years now we've been hearing that all important posts in Government need to be filled by Leavers, because they 'believe' in Brexit.

I'm still struggling to understand how the country can expect a great leap forward under Brexit when we seem to be hell bent on erecting greater trade barriers between ourselves and our biggest market.

Did you see the news that slipped out yesterday along with the negotiating mandate from the govt - the headline that they're going to threaten to walk away in June having a tantrum because the spolit Etonians can't have everything their own way somewhat overshadowed the fact that the govt isn't going to impact assessments on their Brexit policies until *after* they've enacted the policy.... Given that the Heathrow decision in the courts yesterday, because they didn't do a *proper* assessment in light of climate change legislation, this seems to be the same mistake magnified! |

Meanwhile, this was a good read - Boss reduced his $1m+ salary to $70k and raised everyone else in the company up to at least $70k. bbc.co.uk Company is more productive and has greater turnover. |

The government news organisation (BBC) seems to be trying to reframe the Heathrow cockup as an opportunity to “level up” and spread travel away from Hubs - which is so last decade darling. They should tell that to the National Carrier, with whom it’s impossible to leave this sceptered (or should that be septic?) isle without going to that London to do it....no doubt it was those nasty Spaniards at IAG who forced us to do that against our will...... |

So vote with your wallet and don't use the national carrier. I don't. I haven't flown BA since 2006. It's 4 hours drive/train (and usually an overnight stay) for me for LHR, plus the faffage and early arrival, or I can get a public to HUY, breeze through the terminal with no more than 99 other passengers and be in AMS for a flight anywhere in the world in less than 90 minutes door-to-door. OK, so the money goes to the shareholders of Air-France-KLM-Delta, but why should that make a difference to me? |

Boris Johnson made an overnight visit to the A&E dept of hospital I work (not as a patient) I understand he got short shrift from the majority of staff on duty.
