Doogs after getting to a reasonable position in UK politics the Libdems killed themselves for heads with the coalition government.
Then as they were just looking like making some progress their stance at the beginning of this campaign just put them right back to zero.
I take little delight in that as I find my views would probably often sit in or around that middle ground an effective Libdems could hold.
They are so far off being viable just now though, like Labour I fear :-(

That’s right doogs, chap I work with is a Tory remainer but does not want another referendum and wants to move on. I expect there are plenty like that, but they are not Brexiters.

Corbyn and McDonnell will resign tomorrow morning. As they should. Lib Dems are dead for the long term. Hard Tory Brexit enablers. We didn't need this election, they called it. I won't forgive them.

2024 will be an interesting election, despite the Labour are out for a generation media talk. This is a different world now, post Brexit, post Trump.

Tories defending ex Labour seats, 3 years after Brexit, and in the midst of an economic downturn (it will be slow, but it will be there, this is the govt's open projections). There will be buyer's remorse aplenty. Tories will be 14 years into government, climate change will be more pressing.

Just Labour need to pick the right leader, and start sorting out its own house. Let the far left cannibalise themselves in recrimination. Move swiftly and fast on a new leadership election, while hearts are downcast.

If the polls are accurate, then it's clearly what people want.

I said previously that I regarded this election as social democracy's best last hope.

The choice has been made.

Happy, yes I voted Tory and hope to see the exit poll numbers turn into reality.

I didn’t expect that big a gap, but I’ll take it if it’s true.

Name-calling will be called out, and Ad hominem will be frowned upon. :-) And whatabout-ery sits somewhere above responding to tone and below contradiction.
