Nearly 40 years ago I was very involved with Sheffield uni walkers and ramblers - it’s an area I know extremely well. We could get on the number 51 bus in Broomhill, pay 10p and get off in the square in Castleton

I recall going to stay up there with running friends and catching the bus out as far as possible before running home over the moors.
