Not that I'm an expert, but we did recce that bit a few times when training for the HPM. Easy to go down the wrong path and (as I remember) it leads you off in a SW direction.

I do remember Sunday afternoons travelling down to the northern edge of the watershed just to recce the bit from Outer Edge through to Wainstones, not easy for those uninitiated. On the day we got it exactly right, but annoyingly a team followed us and benefitted from all our prep. We tried to lose them, but I'm not sure we did.

I was marshalling the Peak Running Ultras at Baslow on Saturday. Respect to all the runners, but a bit in awe of the winner of the 100 mile event (22:23:13!).

Thanks RH .. Friday was a “testing” day. Car damaged in floodwater and 3 hours to get out of Chesterfield but insurance picking up the bill and it’s been an enforced quiet day today 😂😂🤷‍♀️👍
