@RunningRonnie I also enjoyed Stirling where I got an S for my alphabet. I recall coming 3rd behind two lads (brothers) both under 14 🤭

Haha no worries. When we did it there were lots of tourists and the lady doing first timers said “and who’s here for their U?” And that was when I had to explain alphabet hunting to my new to parkrun dad

We do try to avoid travelling very long distances just to get letters but fortunately I had another race in Scotland the next day, so could combine the two. We stayed on the University campus and also got a free swim at the magnificent swim complex. Worth knowing 😉 |

Xmas day Delamere posted 1091 runners, the first time over 1000 for their event and (so their run report says) one of only 11 1000+ Xmas day events this year. But they also pointed out that it was the only 1000+ event that wasn't based in an urban centre. Thought that was an interesting observation.

In the car park! It was free access for the day. Don't know how overcrowded it got, but it is a big car park there. Admittedly not a great "eco" look with all those cars,
