Given the number of pieces of kit that I see people in at events, I'm pretty sure parkrun are doing retail ok.
Contra was a different thing, but their kit was a bit rubbish.

Contra is still available for sale (I checked). Is it actually rubbish? I've seen very few people identifiably wearing it. It always looked overpriced to me (as does the parkrun stuff in general). I did hear someone say last week that their parkrun hoodie, though expensive (£50?) was really good.
(I found myself, as I knew one of them, at a table of ultra tourists. Discussing which countries they might visit next. My friend is aiming for 55 runs this year.)

I have a parkrun hoodie (in fact, I'm wearing it right now!) - of the (way too many!) hoodies that I own, it's easily the best made.

Maybe rubbish is a bit harsh. But the designs were nothing special, and the prices high - though ostensibly because of the more sustainable method of production etc which to be fair is a good reason for something being more expensive than some "sweatshop" knockoff!

I really like some of the parkrun stuff- I now have four of the long sleeved tops and they are a winter wardrobe staple. I have buffs and gloves too. Always wanted a hoody but have more than I need. Was never tempted by anything Contra.
