What do you do (if anything) when you hit a particular milestone?
I'm about to run my 250th (all welcome at Mallards Pike on 29th Feb!) Will be taking cake of course, but wondered how others have marked the occasion?

I'd just turn up, make sure the team didn't announce it, then wait for my email allowing me to claim my t-shirt. No fanfare, no ceremony. But that's just me!

We generally seem to take cake or sweets to Boston for special occasions

congrats on the upcoming 250. I am not big on celebrations but the RD on the day did give me a shout out. Some people bring cakes, some people run with balloons, do what makes you feel special!

With my 50th I made flapjacks, but that was many years ago when parkruns were much smaller, and I knew lots of people there, and there was a bit of a cake culture. Didn't do anything for my 100th (different, less cakey parkrun). For my 250th I larkimmed.

Same as larkim. Except that when I went along for my 100th I suspect the RD knew and was going to keep saying, "ANY MORE celebrations?" and not start the run until I 'fessed up.

It's nice to see people celebrating though, and it's at least 5 years to the next one if you're at 250! My 250th was a bit off-the-cuff as it was the 2nd New Year Double run so I wasn't sure whether I'd have done the first/bother with the 2nd etc.

Thanks everyone, I did my first parkrun in 2012, so it's been a long time coming!
