My Friend Stan - not one of Slade's strongest.
If a Vic and Bob show had had a house orchestra, they'd have looked like the Simon Park Orchestra.

BoneyM first appearance - birth of a legend.
Thelma Houston - I'd completely forgotten about this version.

The Stylistics. Never liked them. They may be genuine Philly soul brothers, but on that one they sounded, and danced, like a bunch of Germans having a go at the style.
Iirc, one of their albums went straight in at number one in 1975. Strange days.

Definite "cut-price Abba" vibe from Brotherhood Of Man on Angelo there.

Rat Trap. I can’t say the Rats remained a favourite but this song is a good one and totally spoke to me at the time, as did Geldof’s performance.
Airport by the Motors, a good song and one my dad liked too. I remember sitting with him in the car in the garage to listen to the end of the song.
