Yeah, I;ve read of a few cases but it's not common and certainly not a routine procedure that most of us blokes have to go through.
Glad Mr Jaks was OK.

I would rather have a mammogram than a prostatic ultrasound

I had to google that and now I wish I hadn't.
Again, not something I've had to experience (Yet and long may that continue) but that doesn't look fun, but is presumably better than something not being detected and treated.

I can personally recommend ultrasound for zapping kidney stones.
Can, but won't.

I would also rather have a million mammograms than another kidney stone. (Mine crumbled and passed without assistance, thankfully, for lithotripsy wasn't around in 1981.)

I found the needle biopsy in the breast very painful indeed. I thought they would never stop pushing in the needle

I almost wish I'd had lithotripsy to get rid of my kidney stone rather than the after effects of the treatment that actually was given.

I have been present during a procedure performed with the help of prostatic ultrasound many times. I hope I never have to have one. Some men tolerate it much better than others.

Aah the cheery age group. I see it's all having your bits squished and medical probes thrust the wrong way down one way streets.
So glad I joined 😟🤣
