[not strictly true - Genesis c. 1981 - just before Three Sides Live - Chester Thompson was the 'main' drummer]

Not many for me, Roxy Music in the 80’s, then Tom Jones, a local festival (Underneath the Stars - Puppini Sisters, The Proclaimers, Kate Rusby, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Billy Bragg etc.) and classical stuff, my favourite being Jose Carreras. Looking forward (I think) to Iron Maiden with youngest in June.

Let's see. I think in order it was: Pretenders, Boomtown Rats, The Jam, Yazoo, The Jam (again) and all of them after I'd started at Uni.
There were quite a lot of local bands I saw in Leicester too while I was at the Uni - but I don't recall any of them making the big time or any of the names.

New Order, Blue Monday, 12" version. The sound track to every 18th Birthday party I ever went to.
