I spent my second elective in southern Nigeria in 1987. The battlefront had gone right through the middle of the leprosy settlement I was working in - most of the buildings had not been rebuilt, bullet holes were visible and it was fairly grim
Eynsham Red Aug 2021 9:29pm, 1 Aug 2021 7,793 posts	0 Eynsham Red Did anyone else, when stereo systems were still a bit of a novelty in the sixties and early seventies, have the speakers positioned either side of the room with a sofa or main seat positioned bang smack in the middle to listen to the “stereo”. Simon and Garfunkel’s “Baby Driver” was a favourite in our house so that we could hear the motorbike transiting left to right and back!
