I couldn't possibly answer bigleggy as I've never smoked anything like that. Well hardly ever. I didn't inhale. I inhaled a bit but didn't enjoy it. I have my political career to think of.
My Mom used to have "Woman" or "Woman's Weekly". I remember getting home late from work one evening when I still lived with Mom & Dad - I was working on a tender with some crazy deadline - and the cover of her mag had a headline of "Full of tender stories just for you!"
My tender stories involved a lot of highly stressed middle aged men in bad suits working in building site offices.
Bigleggy - was that 'passive' smoking? When I saw Hawkwind (1976 or 77) they were useless - stoned, drunk, or both. Or maybe collapsed out the back and they send the roadies out instead.
I could believe the audience got high on whatever the band was exhaling.
I've only ever had legal substances - one 'painkiller' in US that I was told 'by a friend' I could sell at $50 each. And some from my GP - which was slightly different to 'take two paracetamol'.
dropping by to say - stop with your "male interest rock" nonsense
always big Motorhead fan, many gigs - including the one (I'm sure I've mentioned before) the night before my French spoken O'level exam, not clever! Hawkwind at the Rainbow (82/83??) best night out ever
