I thought you had to be broadly female? I'm sure MrsP was a Sugarbabe at one point.
I may have imagined it but around 2012 I seem to record them performing at two venues simultaneously. Impressive.

Re MIR and Thrash/Metal whatever. No. Just no! I like my music to have discernible notes, and if applicable, lyrics, without having to look them up!
Bach & Beethoven take some beating. But then so do The Beatles (at times!).

Sorry to take this conversation even further away from Thrash Metal, but didn't there used to be more than one lot of Drifters going at the same time?

Nico, I'm not sure there was more than one group - but their membership is clearly rather "linear" given their longevity. Pretty sure some of the originals retired from the group, sung stuff, and then died, whilst others have still been in the group!

From Wikipedia:
According to Rolling Stone magazine, the Drifters were the least stable of the great vocal groups, as they were low-paid musicians[2] hired by George Treadwell, who owned the Drifters' name from 1955, after McPhatter left. There have been 60 vocalists in the history of the Treadwell Drifters line,[3] including several splinter groups by former Drifters members (not under Treadwell's management). These groups are usually identified with a possessive credit such as "Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters", "Charlie Thomas' Drifters".

I remember watching them at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham in the late 80's.*
Jonny Moore was the front man, it was like watching a dad with his 3 sons. I'm pretty sure there was an alternative group touring Europe at the same time.
* That's how I rolled, Wham and The Drifters
