Love being a Nana, the boys make me smile so much and its so much fun. When daughter had her first baby, her partner at the time was useless (he was soon an ex and has had nothing to do with eldest Grandson) so we were pretty full on helping out. With the younger two we have been less involved as my daughter has a very hands on husband and probably reverted back to a normal grandparent role, but its so much fun. I cant imagine not being hands on and involved in their lives and am very lucky that they live close by.

Love the grandchildren pictures. When I married, I did so with the thought: if we can have children, we will. If it turns out we can't, it won't bother me much; plenty of other interests in life. We went on to have 5. Overdoing it a bit, perhaps. Only 3 granchildren as yet, though, and because of the distance I live from them I can't do day-to-day babysitting, but quickly acquire grandma duties when I go to visit. |

Wasn’t sure whether to post this on Smell, on Glenn’s excellent Scrapbook wire, or O50. So I compromised by spamming all three. Sorry. Ish. japantimes.co.jp |
