Given what they have rights to show I think the Beeb are right to be on "Britwatch" for the most part. Unfortunately in a world where money talks, paying for viewing is the way you have to go wider coverage. £3.99 a month on offer at the moment and you get the option for 2 concurrent streams on different devices, so I can watch the rowing or cycling while Mrs Nellers watches the gymnastics, for example. Also I think they do a good job of explaining some of the more niche sports than Eurosport/ Discovery+. I was trying to watch some surfing on Disco last night and it was excruciating. The commentators, clearly very knowledgeable, made absolutely no concession to the majority of viewers who are watching surfing for the first (and after that only!) time. At least when the BBC show stuff like that they know they're talking to a mass audience. |

Surfing on Disco - sounds like an indie band on the John Peel show The Olympics Extra BBC channel has a lot less waffle than the main channel but if you want to watch a particular sport uninterrupted then Discovery is the way to go. |

And that was the latest release from Surfing on Disco. Next up is Subsciption Angst with their new single "How many streams can you watch at once?" |

Murray & Evans just started playing doubles v Japanese pair Nishikori & Daniels on Eurosport 2 - could be Andy's last ever competitive match
