Am watching Nadal and Alcaraz.

Felt sorry for Josh Tarling in the bike time trial - he got a puncture which overall probably lost him about 30 seconds and then finished 4th by 2 seconds. The fact he’s (just) younger than DragonSon probably also makes me feel maternal towards him.

Eurosport is better for live coverage, BBC too focused on reflection and stories IMO

I think the BBC is because of rights issues. Since Discovery+ got the coverage for 2020 it’s gone downhill fast.

True, Cheg. I remember the days when you could follow umpteen streams on the red button.
Still think they could show more live sport though, Eurosport have the rowing at the moment. OK it's only the repachage but always good to see other nations competing rather than focusing so much on GB

I switched off BBC coverage as too much talking in a studio and not enough sport

The BBC now is only good for the big stuff. The swim finals and the athletics. The rest is definitely too much chat not enough sport.

That is a good explainer from the bbc.

About This Thread

Maintained by Curly45
Couldn't find a thread so thought I would start one.

Who else is off to watch or who is watching at home?

We're doing Lille and Paris and a mix of sports. Currently trying to find travel insurance that includes ticket cancellation as some of the trains in the UK might be difficult and we have some internal French trains to do as well.

Also need to work out the new Paris metro ticket/app combo (Navigo I think).
