Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’d love to be able to actually hear the French and just have subtitles

Absolutely. It's not like these speeches are improvised.

We had Mr Bean, so I was expecting to see Toulouse-Lautrec or Marcel Marceau. We had the Industrial Revolution, so I thought we'd get the French Revolution.

I remember Beckham on the boat and I was seriously hoping that night that he would not be the one lighting the flame.

We all get to hear and watch something like Jean Michel Jarre while the boat crew are having their own mini-relay with the torch. What are the odds of torch remaining alight by the time it reaches the cauldron?

Small!

That said. I've quite enjoyed the light show and some of the music. The opening ceremony has captured my interest for longer than I expected it to

When Zidane passed it to Rafa I thought we were at end game. Should’ve known better…

About This Thread

Maintained by Curly45
Couldn't find a thread so thought I would start one.

Who else is off to watch or who is watching at home?

We're doing Lille and Paris and a mix of sports. Currently trying to find travel insurance that includes ticket cancellation as some of the trains in the UK might be difficult and we have some internal French trains to do as well.

Also need to work out the new Paris metro ticket/app combo (Navigo I think).
