Trail run over Cannock Chase this morning and then a walk around part of the RAF trail. Cannock Chase has a lot of military history so it seemed apt to take notice of some of the reminders as this weekend marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day :

I absolutely love that, such a privilege to be able to run that trail and a respectful nod to those who served.

Haven't been out today due to a visit from my eldest son's partner. It's always wonderful to see her and we just dive into a chat as though we last seen each other yesterday and not a few months ago.
Having a cuppa in the garden watching the bees on the geraniums.
Hug from my husband when he gets home from work.

Just simple pleasures that remind you that the ordinary can be wonderful also.

Lunchtime walk :
-Birdsong, and squawking/flapping of wings as a couple of birds had a disagreement.
- Vibrant colours of the wildflowers growing in the nature reserve.
- A particularly pretty block paving pattern on a driveway.

I love this site for the option of noting 3 things when out running... So I thought I'd start a thread where we can share our 3 things.. I don't care if you walk, run, swim, bike or naked yoga in the garden.
My three things..
1. Mistle thrush song
2.Wild strawberry blossom
3. Hawthorn blossom
