So did I :-)

But I pass this on as a Top Tip I read on the (I think) Grazia website: she always wears shoes that are at least half a size too big, then pads the insides with silicone pads (like Happy Feet, I assume.)

That still wouldn't stop me falling off the heels and twisting my ankle though.

On the M5 today there were the usual lorries loaded with chalets (of the sort that are pitched in holiday parks) - we always see several of those - but also two lorries carrying army tanks.

Fell over on the pelican crossing. Was lying in the road. Not one single person asked me whether I was OK.

(I am OK, by the way, just shaken and bruised and really upset at my fellow humans)

That is sad LindsD 🙁 I fell over a few weeks back at parkrun and a lady a good distance in front of me turned back to see if I was ok. It’s a shame that the general public aren’t necessarily so kind.

I can't believe no one came to your aid, Linds, although, if it was me, I would probably have hoped that no one had noticed and been embarrassed if they did.

That is awful that no one came to your aid or even asked if you are okay.
I fell a few weeks ago and an old man came out of his bungalow to ask if i needed help and was okay.Initially I felt like Dio but he was being so kind that I forgot my embarrassment. But got up quickly to show all was okay then limped away..

Thank you all. I just couldn't believe that no one even asked whether I was OK after I had got up.
