I would rather NOT have these curtains at all. In fact for twenty years or so I didn't, but these days it makes sense to have them. In fact I generally prefer no curtains at all.
I admit they add a bit of cosiness in winter though. There is an arctic gale off my big bay window (north facing, huge window and not double glazed. What's double glazing?)

I had to buy some net curtains recently - I went into a shop which had a section which seemed to sell nothing but net curtains. I explained to the assistant what I was after and I was very sniffily told that most people don't buy net curtains but she may be able to help if I wished to purchase a voile.
I bought a pair of what I considered to be net curtains and went home a happy customer

I got on at a different door on the train. Thought I'd get tutted at by different people for a change. I got a seat!

Cheers, fleecy! Although it turns out the original distribution list worked if I added myself as the owner. So while it was good to discover this new skill (and it will definitely be useful in the future) I could have saved myself 2 hours of panic
Looking forward to seeing all your newts today

Not a Newt - but you're getting an update on the VOILES situation whether you like it or not. I cleaned the inside of the bay window this morning, have put the curtains back up... and to be honest it is heaps brighter.
Just wait 'til I do the outsides!
(Am slightly worried the outside sill will give way and I will fall to a hideous death, so I will wait 'til summer and more time and bravery - not that i haven't done it before)

Spending part of my day off watching "Love Actually " for the first time. With all the hype over the reunion for Comic Relief I thought I should catch up on the original
