Catching up. So this will be a bit like the old fashioned telegrams! Hope your dad is ok HP.
Congratulations BBL- how did that come about? Looking forward to seeing pics and hearing about your new arrival Maz.
I've started my new (old) job this week and can't believe it's only Wednesday! But the patients are fascinating and challenging, and my old colleagues are making a good show of welcoming me back. So far so good. I do need to improve my time management at home tho, otherwise we will resemble a case study from How Clean is Your House

Hoping HP's dad is feeling better too...
I am always a case study for How Clean Is Your House - I never used to be before we had a dog though!
Thanks for the congratulations WA - I almost had to read back to see what it was for... but remembered it must be the Trustee thing. It's a small local charity that I currently volunteer with and the Trustee who recruited me as a volunteer has asked me in the past but I've always claimed to be too busy...however this time I have said I'd do it as long as I didn't have to be treasurer or deal with any of the financial side of it, given that I can't even pay my credit card bill on time usually....
I don't think I had a newt yesterday - I need to do better for the final few days

Can you tell us what it's for Baroness, or would you rather not?
You are so GOOD you do loads of volunteering, who cares about the state of your floors and cupboards.

*agrees with Sharkie*
I walked back from the garage. Was meant to run but my calf was too painful. However this is a newt, as usually I run, cycle, or get the bus. I thought about getting the bus but decided to walk instead *is proud*

Dad was released from hospital and didn't even make it home before another ambulance had to be called. He's OK and I'll not dwell on it here as it's not in the spirit of the thread.
I agree with everyone else. Time is much better spent doing more interesting/worthy things than keeping a house in an immaculate state. I have accepted that, with a teen and a dog, the floors will never be clean again.

HP not the newts any of us would wish you to have - I'm so sorry
My newt today is running related - did a run where I was instructed to do two miles as fast as I could - pace (mins/mile) for the two miles was in the 9s rather than the 12s where I usually hang out
