It's the local Riding for the Disabled group. Obviously I am not a Trustee of the national Riding for the Disabled organisation - but each 'branch' of that organisation is also a separate charity (while affiliated to the national one) and so has to be run as a charity with Trustees etc. I guess in the olden days it would just have been a 'committee' but things have to be a bit more formal now I imagine, to make sure that we do things properly and don't run off with the proceeds of our annual fundraising event!

Ah! Thanks. I thought it might be connected, you do a lot there already.

Dentists, opticians - maintenance newts: necessary if uninspiring. Nice to be able to see and to bite though!

(Difficult times for your family HP, hope you're all pulling together xxx)

I think he was probably after a publishing deal :) Still, it's a good idea I think, maybe on a smaller scale...I love my pottery class and I think there's something very positive about being open to new experiences, to failing, to learning new stuff with an open mind and with a lack of self-criticism.

Totally agree with you there. Running's a bit like that for me. There's always something new to try and I'm usually rubbish but I don't care.

Velociraptor
Doing a variety of things in sequence just to the point at which the easy early gains start to tail off appeals to me a lot.
