Does anyone know what ETE and ETA mean on the Navigation data fields? Thanks for that link, Drell |

It's a Connect IQ app apps.garmin.com Tiny bit fiddly to start and stop (hold settings and push Start Activity rather than just pressing Start, which starts and stops the individual section timers); handy if you want to spend so many seconds/minutes doing a particular exercise as it'll buzz to tell you when to move on. Sometimes I just use it for timing and don't bother recording. |

Confused... I was navigating this morning (well sort of) and the map was zoomed quite far out (have read back for how to turn the autozoom off - thanks Badger, knew I'd read it somewhere), but pressing the up/down keys just changed the screen away from the map. Do they not work this way with autozoom on, or did I miss a step? |

You need to hold down the Up key to go into zoom/pan mode, then back/lap when you're done zooming.

I use the gyytimer app, really useful. I was losing track of how many reps I had done on each exercise (blame age). Now I just set in continuous mode and never lose count. The simple ones are the best!

So has anyone really played with the 3HR yet? I'm not convinced that the watch makes any use of the wrist HR data. I'd expect it, in everyday tracker mode, to utilise the wrist and use that to influence calories consumption, i.e. if I did some intense exercise which wasn't recorded as a 'activitity', for example some really vigorous ironing, I'd expect my calorie burn to go up. As far as I can tell it is only the step data that influences calorie calculations. Any thoughts? |
