Mine updates direct via wifi, but if it won't talk to express you can't set that up.... Bluetooth through your phone?

Will it mount on your pc as removable storage? You could try downgrading and upgrading again - assuming you want to mess around with it ;)

I have 4.1.22 now, and if anything it's syncing more smoothly than before.

As mbln says, is it mounting OK? Can you see files in it?

GE identifies that it is there and reads the serial number etc but then just says it is an incompatible device. It then won't let me do anything with it (like set up wifi connection or read the activity history)
The first time I tried was with a downgraded GE

I have set up the Bluetooth connection through my phone but that doesn't appear to have sent anything through to Garmin Connect

And what firmware version on the F3?

Did you buy it from Sportpursuit? Seems like a lot of their customers are having troubles (bizarre) forums.garmin.com

Sounds like the database problem that thread talks about, then; it isn't your phone or computer, but the Garmin back end. Going by the last page of that thread, it is mostly fixed. But mostly fixed isn't completely fixed. Might be worth you contacting Sportspursuit and telling them yours still isn't working? And tell them the serial number (probably the unit ID in the menus as well as the number on the back) in case that helps.

Thanks, chaps.

I tried again but it still says the product isn't supported by GE so have emailed Sportspursuit.

I'm glad / not glad others are having the same problem having recommended the watch highly to a club mate he has had the same problem , I spent an hour trying to help him sort his out and it just couldn't get it to sync via Bluetooth to Garmin connect , hopefully now I can tell him it's not just him it'll get sorted and he can fully enjoy the watch in the same way I have loved mine from day one :-)
