Hi Molesy , I've got the fenix , I map out routes on the garmin connect then load straight onto the watch , it will then beep to tell you if you've gone off course and you can see a line / route so you can see when a turning is coming up etc , I've used it a few times and works well for me :-)

Excellent, just what I'm after. Just waiting for a reply from Go Outdoor on whether they'll match Amazon.

just to be clear tho - you don't see a map ......... it is just lines on a screen but it works :-)

I've got an F3 Sapphire that I'm soon to sell through eBay/FB. If anybody is interested PM me (will be expecting somewhere in the £250-300 region).

I ummed and ahhed about the Sapphire but the only one that seemed to really be a step up was the titanium (I love titanium) and I definitely couldn't justify that price.

Just in case anyone is searching for info later, I got mine from Go Outdoors for £265.50 after they price matched plus another 10% against Amazon.

I was more concerned with the glass rather than the strap. Given how I've always scratched other watches glass I wanted something more 'me-proof'. After over a year the glass is still pristine, which I think makes it worth the premium.
I've never used the metal bracelet it comes with. While it might look good it's no use for running and changing it over all the time would be a right faff!

Hello

I have an issue uploading my runs from Fenix 3. Garmin Express tells me that the device is not compatible with Garmin Express. I have spoken to the helpline and had 2 different reponses:
We think we've fixed it (they hadn't)
We are aware of the problem and it needs a software update to fix it and we don't know when that will be

I'm assuming those of you on here with a Fenix are managing to upload via Garmin Express
Or maybe not

Works fine for me (though I mainly use BT via the phone for uploads).

oops, hit submit by mistake. Express 4.1.19.0, F3 on beta 7.13. Hm, I see an update to Express, let's see if that breaks things for me.
