Race list is currently showing 45 Fetchies doing the NF10.
This is a first for me at New Forest. Any tips offered?
Any other Fetchies going along as "support"? If so, maybe a mini Fetch Point could be sorted?

It was a tad warm last year. Only tip I can offer is the water on offer is in cups so if you can't drink out of those and run maybe take some other form of hydration. I needed my water bottle last year and normally manage without one.

Thanks Roz. Got to decide which bottle belt to take. Been experimenting as my Nathan speedbelt wasn't lasting me through 10miles and am hopeless with cups. Forecast is scattered showers and 19C at the mo. But not relying on that - forecast changes day to day.

Blimey you're a bit organised. I only have one of those cheap water bottles. Hope it is 19C, I think it was about 27C last year. It's a good course some of it is very open if it is blazing sunshine. I enjoyed seeing the horses though. I think we were planning on a picnic afterwards last year but I had 2 fed up children and an even grumpier husband so left very soon afterwards. May see you there.

It is always very hot and this will be my 20th NF10. It did pour with rain once but be prepared to take it steady. I have worn a "sta dri" short sleeve top and baseball cap the last 3 years and ensured I slowed right down at the water stations to drink every drop from the cup.
Ensure you leave yourself plenty of time to get there, as the roads are always very busy. The Stewards are very good, ensuring everyone parks sensibly in the field.

Roz, yeh I do have a bit of the ocd thing going on. Am hoping it will stay at 19C as after my unpleasant experience doing Otmoor at 25C+ I really don't want to go through that again. Hoping to see the ponies too and enjoy the run. Going down there with 3 other club mates day before so hoping to enjoy the local area first.
HS, wow, 20th time, you must move it. I had read that it is always hot too. Even the race info stressed it hence me getting a bit OCD about the water bottles and not wanting to dehydrate like I did at my last half. I will be wearing a cap & sunnies too to keep sun of the face as that does help. Am staying somewhere close I think so will need to check distance and then ask how long to expect to get there. How many people usually do the race?

This is a lovely race. Would do it more often but is a long way for a 10 miles race for me.
It was my first 10 mile race in 2005 and it was 36c. Did it two years ago and ran with a silly smile on my face. This is one of my favourite races.

Hi Tracey, 36C!!!! OMG. Thats insanely hot. It is a bot of a distance but we're making it a road trip & have heard lots of good things about it. Think I'll take both belts in case forecast is wrong & can make mind up on the day.
