Have opted in to the Octopus saving session between 5pm and 6pm this evening. We'll fire up the log burner* and give The Chase a miss.
* Yes I know log burners are the devil's work but we grow (and dry) our own logs and having had the chimney swept on Monday the burner will be will as efficient as ever.

Been out for a walk. Paths were mostly okay. Had someone in today to give her replacement windows pitch. Why can’t these people just give a sensible quote right from the start instead of “wait we will give you thousands off as a discount “ . We have another guy coming this afternoon. Hopefully not full of bull.
OH needs to tidy the front of the garage and rig up a power point for the garage door tomorrow. Least things are moving along seeing a there is no golf or running to be had.

I've just opted into the Octopus saver session too. I can't really save much as I don't use much at that time, my heating is done overnight. Will watch something on the laptop instead of tv.

Our saver sessions get used for the washing machine and the dishwasher. We saved 24p with the first one a couple of weeks ago

It’s very cold. And dark. I need milk, but it will take me 5 minutes to walk to the shop. On the other hand - if I make coffee at least the mug will be warm and I can hold it.

Get well soon, Paula
I'm going to have a haircut. This does not involve leaving the house.
