I realised earlier this year, when a friend offered to make me a hot water bottle, that they remained with the ex hb many many years ago! I have bean bags but no longer have a microwave to warm them up with... It has a wollen Welsh blanket cover and is lovely! I also got a cotton yoga blanket to take with me on my retreat, to wrap around me for early morning meditation and relaxation sessions.
