Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Chilli Tuesday, even if we are on holiday. I had a Norfolk pasty for lunch.

Am back at my desk again.

Have to phone someone soon.

I don't like making phone calls.

I am very pleased my role involves no external phone calls! Frustrating day with child reluctant to go out in the glorious sunshine followed by 2 hours at Desk (because WFH won't work) where 2 PCs also wouldn't work. Managed to transcribe 4 letters and communicate effectively with nice IT man.

We've had an early tea because it's another of Octopus' 'Reduce your energy use for an hour' when we would normally be cooking. I assume spreading the energy use across a wider time period is a good thing but am not sure.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
