Every time my mum FaceTimes me it’s as if she’s never done it before. She even went on a course at the Apple store (when going out was allowed). I don’t think she can have been concentrating.

Mum has got the hang of messenger and it's a godsend, avoids so many phone calls. She's just about got the hang of sending links and photos, so I can order things she wants from Amazon for her (for some reason she can cope with the John Lewis website without a problem, I'm sure there's some prejudice going on there) I also have her login for Ocado so when she gets stuck with that I can edit her orders etc.
Lockdown without modern technology would have been f'ing awful!
Is this the right thread for that ^ ?

My mother doesn't like to interrupt us because we're busy people. I thought WhatsApp would be the answer, but I'm still lucky to get a message!

I love What'sApp. I have What'sApps with each "child" as an individual, and one with the whole family combined including spouses/partners, one with Bruv, and a few other combination ones.
Youngest Son organised a GrandPad for his father, who has not kept up with technology. It's really good. Strongly recommended for anyone with an Aged P who doesn't "do" tech.
