Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's raining, don't know where that came from as it wasn't on the radar.

Boiler cleaned, yoga done, breakfast consumed. Sourdough was better than anticipated. Correct structure inside if not correct overall shape. It went well with breakfast.

I’ve also done dishes and had a shower.

Funny thing about tomatoes - I love fresh tomatoes and every imaginable dish or sauce where they have a part to play but unless they’re cooked down to a mush grilled fresh tomatoes are a real turn-off for me. The worst are the ones in restaurants that have barely been warmed through, often served as ‘garni’ with steaks :-(

Many years ago, eL Bee! told me that his children's favourite dish was "pasta explosion" - a pasta, vegetable and pesto concoction whose ESSENTIAL ingredient was cherry tomatoes, added towards the end of cooking so that they were warm and soft and exploded when you put them in your mouth. I made it. The children picked all the tomatoes out, left them on the side of their plates, and ate the rest. I don't know whether eL Bee! was having a laugh at me or had failed to realise that his ex-wife had played a prank on him.

These tomatoes were pretty well cooked. Mushrooms were a bit too well done. I never quite get the timing right when doing a cooked breakfast.

Sometimes Facebook targeted advertising gets it so, so RIGHT!

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
