Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Looking back a few pages, thanks for the encouraging comments. I've written to the two physiotherapists who attended to my crusty knee - and Fleecy already knows her part in this.... :)

I have discovered that there is a spot on my wrist that when even gentle pressure is applied makes my thumb go all tingly. Every time I put hand cream on it happens ad having explored it I have found the exact spot which makes it go really tingly. Should I be worried? Is my thumb going to drop off. Am I falling apart?

You've probably found your radial nerve, or a small branch of it, halfpint. Congratulations :)

Why does it do that on one hand but not the other?

Because the course of the nerve is likely to be slightly different on the two hands and it might be a bit deeper on one than the other.

Or because you're weird. Pick your choice :)

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
