Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'd quite like a poking stick to bludgeon... I mean poke, Jacob-Rees Mogg from a 2m distance.

Flossie foretold social distancing - this photo was taken in December (maybe she was already aware of the problems in Wuhan. Animals are alleged to have a kind of sixth sense for impending disaster, aren't they :-) )

Was it on here someone suggested fencing was the perfect social distancing sport? - you wear a mask and protective clothing, and if anyone gets within 2m you stab them with a epee

Oh I would love a 2m poking pole! I think I'm going to avoid all the local Asdas for a while - the past couple of visits have not been pleasant and I've not seen anyone say any different about other branches on local FB pages. Our local Tesco has been ok - members of staff outside ensuring queue policy followed, and their one-way system has been monitored by staff members.

Tesco Inverness is the same. Queue outside then briefing before you go in. It was great last Sat. Quite quiet and everyone respecting 1 way system. There was a man grumbling about people not but I didn’t experience it.

Finished work and now helping with college coursework. This currently involves drinking tea, listening to sweary complaining and giving motivation. A poking stick might be useful.

Booked a tennis court for Friday afternoon. Something to put in my diary!

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
