And carrots - completely different to those cold-stored for months.

Need to go tie inbthe runner beans and prop the tripods up a bit better - the wind has made a bit of a mess

I grew some peas or the first time this year and they were delicious. Just a shame that from the 6 plants (I bought seedlings, rather than started from scratch) I only got enough for 1 family meal and a few snacks.

I've planted 3 rows of peas - about 1/3 of which are still there, I suspect the mice and bl00dy pigeons had the rest.

I think I may invest in some bird spikes for the edges of the veg bed - it's stop the cats too, I think! Either that, or start raising peregrine falcons. ;-)

I like the idea of raising peregrine falcons!
They'd deal with the magpies too i'd say.

Carrots and Parsnips are looking like a bumper crop. The netting has worked on my cabbages. Corn has ears :-) . Holiday meant Courgettes have gone big so will be fallow for a bit.

Toms looking good. Cuts will come on....

Not bad at all.

The raised bed looks rampant - I've cut a few courgettes, but haven't wanted to stand around out there to check anything else for a few days!

My garden had grass tips on the lawn peeking through the standing water. :(

Yet, we are apparently experiencing a draught and a heatwave? I have had to turn the heating on a few times this July... 🙄🙄🙄
And the water bill is rising as the company over-estimates my use. Apparently, I am watering my garden??? I haven't watered my garden in years and my 4000 litres of water collected has not been used much. Tanks overflowing...
