They look a bit like mandrakes.

I have a little fuchsia bush which hasn't yet produced any flowers this year. Is it just very late, or do they sometimes take a year out?

Has it produced anything? The apparently expired fuschias I mentioned a few pages back have come back from the roots, to varying degrees. I just checked one, and it's just now forming flower buds.

I realised mine has re-sprouted and is flowering yesterday. It is small but alive.

We've just had first red onion in fajitas for tea. It was very tasty.

I pulled up some parsnips the other day that had many long legs. They looked a bit like your carrots, Rosehip.

I pulled out my shallots yesterday. Considering how late they went in, they got completely neglected and half were pulled up by the squirrels, it isn't a bad haul!
The red ones are not ready yet and I left the garlic in too long. I simply wasn't well enough.
Bulbs have split into cloves so they won't store. Ah well, it is what it is this year. I am happy with whatever the garden gives me! :)

I am slowly cutting back some of the tall grass. Recreating paths, but less off them. That means less work cutting in the future and more wild flowers. It is amazing what has come up!

Shallots have been out in the rain "drying"
Waiting for a lull in the downpour to put them into the greenhouse.
