Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) they can be a problem and I assume you do not want to poison them. The tump.building ones can create quite a mound in the course of a year! When clients have this going on, I scoop off the forming mound then pour boiling water into the nest. Not nice but it makes them move and start again elsewhere. My dad used to do this with the ones on our drive and it worked.

I'm happily harvesting a cupful or so of raspberries every day (including, oddly, a couple of "autumn" fruiting ones from the other bushes). The blackcurrant bush seems to be bare - no fruit formed, never mind ripened!

The cucumbers are still going strong in the greenhouse, and I've been working through the lettuces too. I've just planted the next set of lettuce seeds to keep us going into later summer. :) I've harvested the first couple of courgettes, and finally... I made the call to harvest the onions a bit early, so they're slightly smaller than I'd like but they are showing signs of setting seed/bolting too, so I'd rather get them now!

Nice onion crop, 3M.
I've picked a mere 4 runner beans today. I thought there would be loads ready but the heat and lack of water seems to have stopped them growing. I must get things planted earlier next year.

I've been watering my French beans a lot at the root. The stems have almost made it to the top of the canes, but there's not much sign of any flowers on them yet, so obviously, no beans!

The pumpkins however, are rampant.... with fist sized fruits, already!

I think it is too hot! My spinach germinated and went straight to bolting!
