Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hanneke
I have been ticking off chores today and I even managed to cut most of the grass. Only the paths in the food forest still to do. Garden furniture is outside now, but the pond liner that lived in the back of the van for many years remains illusive. I thought it might have been lurking in an inaccessible space because of the garden furniture...

I also managed to at last install the drum of the washing machine that broke down in January 2018 and used it as a fire pit tonight.

Ooh, the fig I bought as a tiny stick a few years ago has its first bud on it. :)

Two of my dahlias have got shoots on them - hurrah. Potted up some seedlings that I think (hope) might be foxgloves and are all over the place, and also some that were growing in the bark around the raised beds and that I think might be hellebores, as I collected seed last year then spilt it. The suspense😱!

I thought I'd kept a washing machine drum for that very purpose Hanneke - but I haven't managed to unearth it in the garage as yet.

(did I already post this here or elsewhere, can't remember tired)

I nearly trapped the robin in the compost Dalek that I'm using to store topsoil whilst I move stuff around in the garden. Went to put the lid back on it to come inside and Mr robin was happily hopping around eating the bugs

I just thought I'd share this....

I'm rather proud of it. 😁

The instructions only make sense if you have the parts spread out on the lawn, and have managed to crack the secret code to build the first side of it!

You've grown a new crop in your garden! A greenhouse! You just need some real crops to grow in it now ;-)
Nice.
