I already received my massive seed order from Germany today! Only ordered Tuesday morning! I shall mainly be seed sowing and putting seeds in the freezer/fridge/soak/germinate on paper etc as per requirements. I am most excited about my medicinal plants, whoop!

I wonder how many of the courgette plants I planted will live...if they all do, I may have too many of them!

For the first time ever I struggle with courgettes! I have only 2 out of 6 seeds coming up for my client and none out of 6 for myself :-o Another client called this morning to ask if I had spare cucumber and courgette seed, as they had had the same thing going on with the cucumbers as myself and also no luck with their courgettes. It is obviously a bad year for them!

I am thinking of popping a few more cucumbers into the propagator, as, if my two and the client's one survive, he wants two plants, I only need one for myself but... I am doing a box scheme this summer because of CoVid19... and I am just thinking having cucumbers for those would be rather good... I shall also be planting my newly arrived ''interestingly shaped'' courgettes...

Loads of flowers sown this morning! Leaves tomorrow, filling up the greenhouse fast!

I don't think I've seen any of them yet...that'll teach me to forget to mark them! (live and learn)

Sounds good Hanneke. :)

I have seedlings everywhere on all my newly painted windowsills and the greenhouse is full, I don't think my little garden is big enough for them all!

I've moved the fish from the old pond to the new one, moved an empty water butt to a more convenient position and linked to another = back to veg plot building and sorting tomorrow.

I suspect i may have done as much in two weeks as i normally do in half a year (grass cutting etc excepted). Much of it has been of the grubbing about nature (speaking of which I uncovered a particularly juicy-looking white grub earlier and thought, "that's one for robin" and a couple of minutes later it was in its beak :-) ). Not like I don't always have the time, but ... This spell of weirdly dry weather is certainly helping.

Planted six courgette seeds today, let's see how that goes. Sunflowers are coming on like gangbusters.

(Don't form the misapprehension that I am busy, just managing to be less lazy ;-) )

Just signed up for a Zoom workshop for market gardeners starting a veg box scheme because of the pandemic. Wednesday eve, very timely and free :D

The "chard patch" I mentioned earlier is just behind the lettuces here:

I don't remember ever having so much salad stuff so early in the year before - been good growing conditions with lots of rain earlier on and lots of sun recently.

And, like Dvorak, I seem to have got a lot more done than usual. Overdue sort out of the compost heaps yesterday.
