I feel that mince pies are one of those reasonably socially-acceptable addictions, and I'm only slightly sad that all the other members of my household are similarly into them. I hesitate to put a number on it to y'know, actually add value to the thread...but apart from cheese (which I'm obviously going to have to try to accompany a pie or two in the near future...) how do people like them? I'm not averse to straight out the packet, one hand under to catch any crumbs. But given time, I'm heating them up in the oven, then when they're slightly too hot to eat quickly, levering the lid off, adding a teaspoon of brandy butter, replacing the lid so the brandy butter starts to melt and ooze, and then covering with single cream. This may be part of the reason I need to do quite a lot of running. But worth it
