Emergency appointment at the vet's on Monday who diagnosed gingivitis. Today he is nearly back to normal and wolfing down his food plus his tests show his thyroid and kidneys are fine. He's 16 so I'm hoping this means he gets a few more years of happy living

They seem to be settling in okay: although they're off to the vets this afternoon so that may not last long. Happily they'd been spayed and had all their shots before they arrived. Semi-long-hair is monikered Bastet after the egyption god by the 12 year old. Short hair is Minnie, named by the 6 year old.
