Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Agree with the others to go to the GP. A blood test revealed that I was short of Vitamin D and that I should get some supplements.

@wolves1877 Please don't feel you have to report back on GP appointment unless you want to 😉 Hopefully speaking to the doc will put your mind at rest though.

300mg per day is a metric f***tonne of iron supplement to be taking daily.

I had a similar diagnosis as someone who started to regularly fail the drop test at a blood donation, but I'm not sure that long term it's a sustainable dosage en.wikipedia.org

That article says poisonous above 20-60mg/kg. I weigh 75kg, so that would 1500 - 4500mg per day.

About This Thread

Hi all I’m a 48 year old husband and dad to two children aged 6 & 9 and am struggling with my energy levels. I’m shattered most nights and falling asleep at 6:30.

Now I’m doing a bit of research into vitamins and supplements I can take to help. There seem to be three options; a cheap £3 a month Aldi multi vitamin, a £15 a month mid range multi vitamin and then the expensive mail order £79 option.

I generally have a good diet and don’t drink much alcohol, and try to get a decen...
