My irritation reached new heights once I'd gone through 'synergistically' and moved on to 'youthening' and hit the stratosphere when 'nutraceutical' made an appearance.

Glenners, you are a first class git!

Oh, and before I was hit with that lot, I'd come in to reassure people that the company Xylem, whose 'tagline' graces the thread header, has changed it.

It's now "Let's solve water" which I think we can all agree is a great improvement.

I'm worried that the "solution" they had has evaporated and they are now exhorting us to help

I saw a van with "We Solve Water" written on its side last week. Unfortunately, I was unable to take a picture. I think the were different water-solvers, though.

Anyway, I reckoned we had perhaps not heard enough of that synergistically operating Longevity Bliss bar. And we haven't.

"Sacred Chocolate's Longevity Bliss heart bar is a true breakthrough in longevity technology.  This bar is a plain dark chocolate at a 64% percent cacao content which includes a special extract from hops, called xanthohumol, that is as powerful as resveratrol. This chocolate bar has been scientifically designed to: improve androgens, fight bad estrogen, inhibit the prostaglandin 2 inflammatory response, help the body eradicate carcinogens, switch off the destructive compound nuclear factor kappa beta, increase longevity, and combat metabolic syndrome (in order to normalize fat and carbohydrate metabolism)."

Only $10.95 per 40g heart.

But wait - there's more! "Something familiar about that beardy-weirdy in the picture" I thought. And it is none other than David Avocado Wolfe, who I have encountered before on the FB feeds of well-meaning but gullible friends and who is an absolute factory, sorry, synergistically holistic artisan craft workshop of new age horse feathers.

In a way, I applaud his tireless dedication to relieving the sort of people who believe in Gwyneth of substantial amounts of their back pocket change; on the other hand though ...

I cycled past a pharmanutrical (or some such) company's head office today. I am ashamed to note that it's only about a mile from home.

Maybe you could get something part-time in there, Chris. Senior athlete pharmanutrical ambassador?
