I had X-socks (the compression ones, which had a load of seriously meaningless product description on the label) and found they were more comfortable on someone else's feet.

oh god, RMO3B, that would confuse me even more! now I know why some instructors say 'to the door!' and 'to the mirror!' instead of left and right.

X-socks are an old favourite of this wire. I think the ones I own were developed using technology originally intended for (ffs) the German bobsleigh team.

I just read that in order to produce the new Brooks Pure range they "recuited the help of award-winning global design firm IDEO, which takes a human- centred, design based approach to helping organisations in the public and private sector to innovate and grow by identifying new ways to serve and support people by uncovering latent needs, behaviours and desires." Unfortunately in two pages of similar witter, they don't then go on to explain any useful stuff like which shoes are on and off road, neutral/support, price etc. |

What they mean is getting people to think they need things that they don't, in fact, need.

I'm not sure it means anything at all. A worthy item for this thread

Just seen the absolute antithesis of this thread subject. I'm watching the Horizon programme about astronomy from last week. They are filming with a couple of astronomers at the VLT in Chile. This is one of the biggest telescopes on Earth. VLT=Very Large Telescope. They're very bright, these stargazers, but not terribly imaginative, eh? |

*last* week, Nell? I thought last week was the colour one? Recorded it, haven't watched it yet. |

This was "Seeing Stars", Greg. Have to admit I've lost track a bit on which one was on when. Fascinating, captain.

ebay.co.uk (eL Bee! assures me that they're really, really, like, good and all that, but the description made me giggle all the same.) |
