Sounds like a great run, Foxy. I ran Equinox (Fairbanks) last year although I only did the relay (3 runners over the marathon).
Watch out for the giant moose!

we did indeed see moose at the side of the road & i stopped for a selfie 
I have just booked a cheeky Hawaiian Quadzilla for January to get me another state closer to the 50 states club & a little closer to the Mega ranking list.

Currently Majors is tied with United Kingdom New Towns, EEA capitals is ahead, and Warsaw Pact members slightly behind.
I quite fancied doing the 50 counties challenge, but this is cheaper!

I'm at 31 counties but no desire to travel to the Grim North - I have Cumbria & Lancashire but never run in any part of Yorkshire ! I need Northamptonshire even though I only live 4 miles from the border !

I've done alright for the North, unsurprisingly. Yorkshires West, East and North, Cumbria, County Durham, Tyne and Wear, Greater Manchester, Cleveland and Northumberland; only Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire in the Midlands though, unless you'd count Beds, Herts, Northants and Bucks in that list? Must do better.
