Shame. Hope they hang on. I was shown the delights of Stamford maps from a running mate. Fantastic shop.

I suspected they were in trouble when they moved from their splendid old building into the much more compressed dinky store they're in now.

They had a great shop in Bristol stocking IGN maps of France, spent far too much time and money there over the years.

Perfect for map lovers, adventurers and, well, anyone! Britain’s funny, rude and delightfully odd place names, from the Twatts of northern Scotland to the Bottoms of England, via the fabled Pants of Wales, are not only bewildering, but also truly world-class. Featuring over 2,000 genuine locations, this map is a comprehensive record of Britain’s funny, rude and delightfully odd place names, to be discovered, celebrated and chortled over.

I bought myself a mazzle (Harvey map jigsaw puzzle) of Snowdon area. Thought it would be easy but actually it’s quite difficult and great fun. Got my mum a mazzle (she is a fan of maps too) of Cairngorms and we’re going to swap.
